Foo Music Videos
This is only a start to this section. We are working on everything at once and as FooWeb as a whole nears completion, this section will be improved.
I'll Stick Around
- From Foo Fighters
- Directed by Devo's Gerald Casale (c'mon, you remember Devo. Lego hats and "whip it"?)
- Weird. Not like the other Foo videos. Has flying space things. Always reminds me of Soundgardens "Black Hole Sun".
Big Me
- From Foo Fighters
- Directed by Jesse Peretz
- This video spawned legions of fans throwing Mentos at the band, much to their dismay.
Monkey Wrench
- From The Colour And The Shape
- Directed by Dave Grohl. He said the concept came to him in a dream.
- Personally, my favorite Foo vid. The Foos live together in an apartment building when they peek into a room and see evil versions of themselves rocking out.
- In the beginning, Dave is in an elevator, and there is an elevator music version of "Big Me" playing, and Dave is nodding his head as if to say 'good song'.
Everlong
- From The Colour And The Shape
- Odd. Dave dreams he is a full fledged punk rocker (leather, mohawk, chains) and stumbles upon a giant telephone. In real life his wife (Taylor!!!!) is getting kidnapped by Pat and Nate, who, after Dave grows a giant hand and beats the hell out of them, inexplicably rip off their skin and the 4 of them rock out. Rrrright.
My Hero
- From The Colour And The Shape
- Probably the least shown and known of all Foo videos.
- The Foos are in a building rocking out (what else?) even though the building is on fire. Some guy (you never see his face) runs through the building saving people (therefore - a HERO!). Despite the fire the Foos continue to play.
Walking After You
PICTURE COMING SOON
- From The Colour And The Shape
- Personally, my least favorite. Dave is in a pinstriped suit pressed up against glass or something like that. It was awfully nice of him to let the other Foos be in the video too. (That was sarcasm, people!!!)
Learn To Fly
PICTURE COMING SOON
- From There is Nothing Left To Lose
- Another 'funny' video like "Big Me". And once again ("Monkey Wrench", "Everlong") the Foos play multiple people. Dave is 1. Dave, 2. a French-looking airline attendant, 3. A girl with pigtails who gets actual Dave to sign a CD for her, and 4. the pilot. Nate is 1. Nate, 2. a baby, 3. the copilot, 4. a dork stuck between Fat Nate and Fat Taylor, and 5. a really FAT chick! Taylor is 1. Taylor, 2. a FEMALE airline attendant, 3. another pilot, and 4. an even FATTER chick than Nate. Chances are I missed some too.
- The plot is there are drugs in the coffee and everyone goes loony, except for the 3 Foos who didn't drink any. They rush to the front to save the plane (get it! They Learn To Fly!). Also, the inflight movie is the Foos playing "Learn To Fly" at a concert.
- Just as in "Monkey Wrench", there is an elevator music version of a song at the beginning (and end) of this one. While the mechanics (played by Tenacious D) hide the drugs, "Everlong" can be heard in its elevator version.
