There is Nothing Left to Lose

Review By Matt

Here is my PERSONAL Review of the Latest Foo Fighters release.

SONG BY SONG REVIEWS:

1: STACKED ACTORS: This is probably the hardest song on the record. Almost sounds like it would have gone well with Nirvana's "In Utero" LP. My favourite song on the album.

2: BREAKOUT: Starts out heavily flanged, then gets harder/faster. It is a mid-tempo song that has a good kick in the ass.

3: LEARN TO FLY: Almost like a happy-go-luckey pop song. A powerful pop song. The music video is hillarious!

4: GIMME STITCHES: Kind of sounds like a country song in the begining. Almost like a country song on acid.

5: GENERATOR: The talkbox part is amazingly wierd sounding and cool. I like all the guitar parts on the song.

6: AURORA: Expiremental. Soft. Decent, but I like the harder stuff better.

7: LIVE IN SKIN: A great sounding Rock song. Catchy Riffs.

8: NEXT YEAR: VERY soft. Its okay. Cool chord progression.

9: HEADWIRES: Expiremental. Heavily flanged guitar. Decent.

10: AINT IT THE LIFE: SLOW song. Very Zepplin-esque.

11: MIA: Pop song with a cool transition. I like it.

ENTIRE ALBUM: This is NOT the same old Foo Fighters. It is a diparture from there older selves, but it is still a good record. The whole record sounds more like a Led Zepplin album than anything, but it is still origional. Almost as if the Foo Fighters have matured. But I still like the self-titled album best.

VERDICT: Go out and BUY this record!
